Requests

We want to make this site as useful to you guys as possible, and start including features in it you want to see.

Obviously these should be related to the purpose of the website.

If you have a request, post it in the comments. If it gets enough support, then we will consider including it in the website. Any stupid comments will be deleted, and the user possibly banned.

Comments will be pruned regularly, as otherwise this may easily get out of hand ;)

Thanks :)

I geuss this is already in production but, a steam group where all the mentors are admins in it, so that mentorees can find and add mentors easily?

Also, videos for things like demo, soldier and scout of the best way/different ways to get to the middle on different maps? Gives the mentors less work :p

I like the steam group idea.

We are trying to make sure that we keep this as hands on as possible, and are discussing at the moment whether or not it would be a good idea to have any extra content in terms of tactics guides and videos!

    Steam group definitely.

I also think that the tactics guides and videos would be good. I don’t think they will replace mentoring, because they won’t contain everything. But the mentors can use them as a starting point, they know that someone who has read the blog knows “xyz” so they only have to teach them “abc”.

By the way, I personally support the idea of tactics/video blog section to the site, by high players that don’t mind giving up some of their time!

Just cos they have seen a video of how to get middle doesn’t mean they know how to. There can be subtle ways that still need a bit of explaining or demonstration, or just people not doing it right. At which point the mentor can explain. But at least the mentoree would know where to begin.

    A forum would be good.

I actually find demos very useful. I’m not sure if i’m the only one, but I think it would be great to have a demo section for mentors to upload demos of them playing in diffirent maps.

Video and commentary (or video and writing) of demo play. How aggressive/passive you want to be at mid. Show some nice sticky traps. When to stay with your combo and when to sticky jump away. On and on…

I think maybe individual maps sections, giving the names of the areas as they is a bit of confusion of what areas are called what and this can also help give advice on how to get to areas and so on
